Our research aims to identify and rigorously test novel pharmacologic and psychosocial treatments for substance use disorders, with a particular emphasis on studies conducted in general medical settings among individuals with alcohol and opioid use disorders with psychiatric and medical co-morbidities.

We aim to embody the goal of “No Wrong Door” to high-quality, evidence-based addiction treatments that everyone can access in a timely fashion. Finally, our research respects and honors all pathways to recovery, including low-barrier harm reduction approaches, pharmacologic treatments, peer support, and psychedelic treatments.
